It has been very rainy the past few days, and as we don't use our heat or have a dryer we tend to stay indoors, nice and dry with a cup of tea. Today the rain was lighter so we were able to get some grocery shopping in and even go for a walk. We were walking near the Cathedral and came across an art gallery with a sign saying "free admission." What could be better than free admission?! So we explored the gallery and enjoyed Jose Guerrero's art. He was a Spaniard who moved to New York and loved America. The art gallery was even inaugurated by the Spanish King and Queen! (I won't lie though, the King and Queen do inaugurate many things). The best part of the exhibition was a project done by elementary school children in response to his art. One part of their project was a self-portrait by each 1st grader next to a series of four photographs of them.
It was an unexpected but very interesting find on our little rainy day walk!
